On last nights transport we had two boxer mixes and three biting chuhuahuas in crates in the back of the truck. Our dog Lady came too.
The two boxer mixes and Lady sat in the back with me.

The younger boxer puppy kept kissing me everywhere. Boy was I happy! The whole ride was kiss, kiss, kiss. Their names were Ranger and  Sabre.
Chocolate Baby,  Chocolate Kisses and Patches were the Chi's in the back.
The dogs were so cute and cuddely.
The youngest boxer  brushed my teeth!
The dogs kept piling onto Lady. She eventually laid down on the floor! I was cracking up.

Sorry I didn't post last week. I've been very busy.
For last weeks transport my best friend Kyra came with me. A Westie named MacDuff was  in the back with Kyra and I. We called MacDuff, Windixie because he looked like her. MacDuff was a very good dog. kyra.jpg
We also got a Poodle and a Dachsund puppy. The Poodle was anoying. He was trying to get past the pet barrier in the back of our truck. I had to stuff my pillow in the space between the cage and the back seat.
There was a little puppy named Forest who was in need of a good bath. Forest  was the cutest thing in the whole world! He sat up on my mom's shoulder for part of the ride. He was soooooooo cute.

Kyra was afraid to let the dogs lick her face, but that's okay. MacDuff just fell asleep on our laps once the car started mooving. He was a sweetheart!

Saturday Nights Run.....

We drove out of Philadelphia and into the setting sun. The sky was orange and purple with a pattern reminiscent of wrinkled paper. There was a cloud that took the shape of a car sticking it's thin, ribbon-like tongue out.

Carmella was very scarred and shaking most of the trip. She was also favoring one of her back legs. I hope she is alright.

This is Lindsey and Leigh a pair of Catahoula's they were so cute. Lindsey had one blue eye and one brown and had a serious problem holding her licker. Leigh was great too and very playful.

Miss D*A*S*H* (Doggy Angel SuperHero) is the superhero name given to me by one of the women who drives on transports.
Mary drives from Spartenburg SC to Charlotte NC and heard of me through the transport grapevine I guess. She somehow heard that I was thinking I could be a superhero and she emailed my mom and gave me a name.
Thanks Mary.

Here are a few pictures.
The first one is Sarge, he's one of those big mean Pitbull Dog's....yeah right.
The second is me and mom at the end of a long drive with about 50 miles left before we get home.

Skully & Petey

I transported Skully on the Sunday of February 10th, 2008.
Skully was an American Bulldog. I transported her from Newark, Deleware to Philadelphia. Poor Skully was deaf. She was coming from a foster home in Atlanta GA and being delivered to a foster home right here in Philly!

Petey was an American Bulldog that I transported from Newark DE to Newtown PA. Petey was a rescue from a shelter in Moultree GA who was being taken to an American Bulldog Rescue in Newtown.
Petey kept trying to stick his head through the car cage to eat my hair.
It was pretty funny.
Here is a picture.

Introductions

This blog was created for my lovely daughter Leahna who's heart is bigger than anyone I've ever met. At nine years old she cares more about people and even moreso animals than anybody I've ever met.
She has been doing pet rescues with my wife Denise since 2006. Together they have helped rescue over 500 dogs and cats.
Every week they assist in transporting endangered dogs and cats from high kill animal shelters in the south to a no-kill shelter in Northern New Jersey.

I created this blog for her to tell her tales as well as share her pictures.
I'm adding the first picture here of just a few of the people who help with the weekly rescues.
